Cam2Print not printing in black.

When using Cam2Print, all the layers aren't printing in black even though I have it selected on each layer in the cam processor to print black and solid, and also selected in the print settings to print black and solid.

The areas where you would expect black are just outlined in black, but filled in grey.

See the attachments, one is the top soldermask, and the other is the bottom soldermask.

Something also odd.  The layers that printed in gray were rasterized.  Where as the ones that were printed in black are still vectors.  I have adobe Illustrator and can open the generated pdfs in that and edit them, but I can't with the gray ones.

Hello @msmallmn,

I hope you're having a great day, could you post the specific CAM job you are using? There is definitely something odd going on.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Yeah, it was just a copy of the 2 layer cam job that came with Eagle before, but I just turned the dimension layer on for all CAM job layers.

Hi @msmallmn,

I hope you're doing well. This is a known issue, and unfortunately we don't have a solution for it at the moment. I've added your comments to the existing ticket dealing with this issue.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Not too thrilled with that answer.

Is there a gerber viewer you can recommend until this gets fixed?

Is there an ETA as to when the issue will be fixed?

Hi @msmallmn,

I hope you're doing well. Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA for this fix. It's part of a larger group of print fixes. In the meantime, I wholeheartedly recommend Viewmate, I've used it for 10 years and it has never steered me wrong. If you want an open source solution then GerbV is the way to go.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

This issue still persists today.  Why has it not been fixed?
