CAM Processor Confusion

I have a board all drawn up and ready for ordering. Usually, I use JLCPCB to fab the boards by making the gerber files with JLCPCB's provided CAM processor, making things super straight forward. For this board I need to order from another company that only accepts ODB++, Gerber X2, or Gerber RS274X. Since I've never messed with these CAM processors, I don't know which one to use or how.

I've seen Eagle now supports Gerber X2. Does this hold true for the free version of Eagle? Does it mean the standard CAM processor is now for Gerber X2 and I don't have to do anything extra?

It is correct that newer versions of Eagle support the X2 format, and this applies also for the free version. However, you don't need to worry that much because "Gerber RS274X" is the format used by the older CAM processor since at least V4.15 (just don't use the jobs that were marked as legacy even then).
