Assembly variant has no effect when pushed to Fusion

Hello All,

I have a simple board with assembly variants where I have some components that are not populated.

When I push the model to Fusion, it exports all components and all of them are part of the 3D model.

Is Eagle cares about what parts are populated in Fusion sysnc?

Regards,

Andras

Hi Andras,

Greatly appreciate your participation on the EAGLE forum and for using EAGLE for your Electronica CAD needs. At this time, EAGLE is not taking into consideration assembly variants when pushing your EAGLE design to Fusion360.  The original design with all the components will be recognized and pushed. The approach of how EAGLE handles Variants is being evaluated, we expect changes in future versions.

Best Regards,

Edwin

Hi,

Is there an update available on this topic?
Is it already possible to generate a PCB with only the selected components in a selected assembly variant.

Best regards,

Arjen

Hi @arjen.lammerts ,

I hope you're doing well. Unfortunately, it is not possible to do this yet.

Thank you for the feedback.
