Amplifier turning on and off

Hello

With me ia a headphone amplifier that i have bought and made a very small change;

The changes are;

1. I have made a disconnection between the on and the off button by making the soldering of the connection between the poles.

2. I have also added long leads to the diodes to ensure that the led is connected a distance further from the amplifier.

my problem is that bow when i turn the 5v power on, the amplifier starts to turn on and off throughout. it is turning on for as long it is on .

What could this be causing this?

Did you examine the circuit diagram before trying to modify it? Was it a push-on-push-off type power button?
