In the managed library overview double click on a 3D Package. The package generator shows up. Click on Generate. Select device/parameters, click update preview. Preview looks good, hit okay. After a good few minutes I get an error message which unfortunately I didn't screenshot, but it had a URL. Tried copying the URL by selecting and hitting Ctrl-C. Didn't work.
Tried again, same parameters (verified by screenshot) Select device, click update preview. After a good few minutes I get:
"This 3D package could not be generated.
Please check your parameters and try again."
Tried again, works.
With all due respect, even when things work it seems to be a very very slow process, and now having to wait several times for things to fail, it's getting to the point where it's barely usable. Is this something that is being worked on ? I remember the same issues and it being slow happening more than a year ago. I'm just curious because if not, I think it's time to look at alternative ways to stay productive.
Truly all respect meant, just wanted to give feedback on what pain points there are.
Kindest regards!
Did you try the software on any other machine?
Hello @rvmail-autodeskcircuits,
Would you be able to get a screen capture of the issue you are seeing that may help us narrow it down. With that said, the future of Electronics at Autodesk is Fusion and it contains the latest version of the package generator and there should be no issues there.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,
Thank you Jorge,
I feel like I know you because how often your response comes up in the forums when I search for stuff ;-). Excellent job!
After trying the same thing again, it worked, so I can't reproduce it. It sounds like my process is obsolete and/or some of the tech is being abandoned. I will give the Fusion route a try because I do really like Eagle. But to be honest, I'm not very happy with that integration, because of frustrations with Fusion (the 3D part), while I've always thought Eagle was very responsive and not frustrating at all.
Thank you for the kind words. If it's been a while since you last used EAGLE you should see the performance be much better now. Feel free to post if you run into new issues while using Fusion.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,
