Thermals in Polyigons - TH and SM

Hi,

 

Is there a way to set a polygon pour so that TH parts have thermal relief but SM parts don't?

I hope you're doing well. This is not possible, I'm actually a little concerned about this request since typically it's more critical for SMDs to have thermal relief than TH parts.

What's your use case?

Hi Jorge,

 

Not at all. With modern manufacturing techniques there's no need usually to connect SM pads via a thermal relief to the copper pour - it just makes the pour less worthwhile.

I only want the thermal relief on the TH pads that will have parts hand soldered into them.

 

In software I've used previously I've had general control over deciding on thermal relief for SM vs TH pads - but then I could select pads individually to over-rule the global setting.

 

Please can I request this as a feature?
