Separate Component Names completely from Components

Hello,

I want to put together 4 Layouts I created with Eagle to reduce costs for the production. This is no problem. But when I put them together, my placement printing changes (So C1 changes to C22 and so on). Is it possible, to separate the component Names completely from the components? The Smash instruction is not enough. In the moment, I have to create a string for each component in the Names Layer and delete the actual name. Would be very nice, when you could help me with this problem.

Nice regards

Hello,

Take a look at panelize.ulp. This adds new layers to the board containing all the correct references. Then when you import the board into the panel and create your Gerbers use the newly created reference layers instead on tNames/bNames and your board will have the correct silk screen legends.

Best Regards,

Rachael
