Problem with new libary - cancel - found answer

Hi, I am having the most difficult time with something that should be intuitive.. anyway, here is my issue.

I saved an existing library of pin headers, deleted all but 2 styles I need for the project, 1x6 and 1x8.

they each have their own Device, Footprint, 3d package (not needed) and symbol.

I want to have a left and right 1x8 header with the pins labeled accordingly so I right click, duplicate

I make the changes to symbol to reflect the pin name changes.

When I open up the duplicated device, with name changed of course, i then click NEW from the drop down to select the ADD LOCAL PACKAGE, I can see all 3 options, 1x6 and both left and right 1x8 headers ..... I select the new DUPLICATED package which I renamed FE08-LEFT which has updated pin names, but when I select connect, it is the original pin names, from the original file!

From managed library main screen with the library selected, if I right click the FE08-LEFT under SYMBOL, FE08-LEFT does not offer the "USING DEVICE SETS" like the originals offer. I think thats the issue, how to fix?

You're definitely on the right track, and this kind of confusion can ytmp3 happen easily when working with library elements in EAGLE or other PCB design tools like KiCad or Altium. The core of your issue seems to be that your duplicated symbol (FE08-LEFT) is not linked correctly to a device set, or rather, the device set is still referencing the old/original symbol internally, which is why you're still seeing the old pin names when connecting.

After resolving the issue with the new library, it becomes important for users to enhance their workflow, and this is where the Lightroom mode plays a significant role. Lightroom mode not only simplifies professional photo editing but also makes the overall experience more efficient. When the library is properly organized and technical issues are removed, the features of Lightroom mode perform at their full potential, resulting in noticeable improvements in image quality, color accuracy, and editing speed.

After canceling or resolving the problem with the new library, users often return to their regular apps to check whether everything in the system is functioning smoothly, and this is where Loklok comes into relevance. When the library issue is fixed, media-related apps like Loklok tend to run more efficiently because they rely on proper system components to load content, manage storage, and maintain stable performance. This connection highlights how even small technical issues in a device’s library can indirectly affect the smooth functioning of everyday apps, including those used for streaming or watching content.
