Why does the hatch keep losing associativity

Autocad LT2016

Ok every time I insert the attached block in a drawing the hatches on some of the symbols will lose their associativity.

Do the following

1. Edit the block and notice that the hatches in the three visibility states mentioned below are all associative (don't forget to close the block before doing the rest)

2. Change the visibility to Oval breakout. Note you can stretch it and the hatch stretches

3. Change the visibility to Long Miscellaneous. Note you can stretch it and the hatch stretches

4. Change the visibility to Long Trial Pit. Note you can stretch it and the hatch stretches.

5. Add 1:300 to the annotative scales of the object.

Change the current view scale to 1:300

Now try the above again and you will see some of the hatches lose their associativity

I can't replicate your issue.  I did the steps twice and all hatches maintained associativity.  I'm using 2018.

I just pasted the block into a totally blank drawing and the attached happened.

@Libbya

Unfortunately I don't have screencast so I had to record it another way (see the video in the link below). When you see nothing happening apart from the mouse moving, dialog boxes are popping up. All I did was add 1:300 to the list of scales and then add 1:300 to the annotative scales on the block.

How did you create the hatches?

- Did you pick in the hatching area (and AutoCAD has to find the hatch boudary itself)

or

- did you select an object to use as hatch boundary.

I'd always prefer to use the second method (if possible). Otherwise you may get unexpected results.

I pick the area. I suppose I could try pick object and see if that helps.
