Variable "column offset" in array action

I need my block to assign user defined column distances. But, aparently the "column offset" doesn't appear when I test the block. Only the "Distance1" appears. How do I do it? The block is attached herewith.

Regards!

There is no way to dynamically alter the column offset of an array action.  If you have a limited number of offsets, you can create multiple arrays and switch between them using visibility states.  Why not use the array command?

why don't they include that feature? .. it's a very imporatant and powerful if we can change the distances on the go. I think autocad intentionally removed this feature because their other product advance concrete have a similar kind of built in blocks .. shame autodesk ...

I think it probably hasn't been added just because they haven't gotten around to it but I don't really care why.  I care a lot more about what I can do with the tools that are available.  If you can focus on the details of what you need to accomplish there may still be ways to help.  Do you need an infinite array AND infinite offset adjustability?  Or does the number of columns in the array have a workable limit?  Are there specific column offsets?
