Turning WCS coordinate into a Grid Reference for a Dynamic Block to use

Hi,
I have been searching for a way to do this for a week now and am starting to think it's not possible.
I want to create a grid system in model space that when I insert my dynamic block of a relay and its contacts that the block can automatically put the correct grid reference in the attributes of the block.
I know AutoCAD Electrical can do this, but my company only want to give AutoCAD LT to a few other engineers to create some panels from templates I make them.
I was hoping I could create a rule that if a node/point in the block was in an x,y batch of coordinates it would then fill an attribute with the grid ref that I have given that square.
If this was possible I understand that it would take a while to create the rules for all the squares for all the sheets I would need but I think it would be worth it.
I have attached a screenshot of a relay and contact. The red cross is the point at which I would want the point to look at the grid ref, the red boxes are the attributes that are reporting its location. Yellow crosses are the points of the x,y coordinate system.
Thanks for any help.
Jim
