Text Orientation in Dynamic Annotative Block

Hello,

I’m a newbie to dynamic blocks and could use some help!

I’ve created a dynamic, annotative detail call-out block with flip and rotation parameters. I want the text to always maintain a horizontal orientation and remain in a fixed/locked position.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hello,  In order to keep the text orientation you need the rotation action to move the text in a circular motion rather than rotate it. To do this you'll add in a couple Point parameters with Move actions and then have the rotation action rotate those Point parameters and the text will Move along with them. (note, chain the point parameter)

So, remove the text from all current actions and set their justification to middle center.  Add in the Point/Move parameter/action to their insertion locations and set their Chain Action property to Yes and the grip numbers to 0.  Next, add the Point parameters to appropriate rotate, move and flip actions.  Add the Flip parameter to the rotation action as well.  That should do it.
