Specify label location?

Hi all,

Can someone please help me with the following:

I'm trying to create some dynamic blocks (in Autocad LT 2021) but I get stuck over and over at the same point.

When in block editor I try to add a linear parameter to the block definition.

Autocad asks me first to 'specify start point' and after that the 'end point', which makes sense.

After that Autocads ask for 'specify label location' and I don't know what to do next...

Can someone help me out?

Thank you in advance!

Bonjour @Anonymous

This position request is identical to the length notation (DIM),
It wants to know where to write the parameters, quite simply

It is asking where you want the parameter name.  It doesn't really matter where you place it, but it is good to have a mind towards placement that is understandable later on.   Pick a point, any point.

Dear Libbya,

First of all thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately your instructions bring me not further yet.

What you explained seemed logical, but when I run this instructions and so randomly pick a point Autocad asks me how many grips I would like to have. When I enter 1 or 2, I don't get any grips, after which I can't add any action because I don't get any parameter.

Does this makes any sense to you and even better do you have a clue how to fix this?

Hope you can help me and thank you already for your effort.

Regards,

Mathieu
