Right Click Disabled on Alignment Grip Selection???

I am creating a dynamic block for valves and everything was going great until I added the alignment parameter.

You see, having a block automatically align to a line sounds great and that it would save drafting time but it's the complete opposite. After selecting the alignment grip on the dynamic block you can't right click to QUICKLY paste it in multiple locations. Why? Why is right click disabled???

Yes, I know there are other ways of copying and pasting a block or re-inserting it via "insert" or via the tool palette.

Those options are not good enough, I am looking for speed and efficiency and that's being able to right click while the block is already selected (via alignment grip). Why is something so obvious not available?

The crazy thing about this is that I brought this (and many other issues with dynamic blocks) up 12 years ago and the dynamic block system hasn't changed one bit....I see now why people are looking for AutoCAD alternatives.

You always have the option not to use the software.  The right-click menu is disabled with the selection of every dynamic grip, not just alignment.  It is disabled because the right-click options are not options while running a parameter change.  I can't see how it could ever work or why anyone would want it to, but if you manage to get the add-on code working you should send it to AutoDesk in case they're interesting in adding it.

"You always have the option not to use the software." -Nobody has this option when dynamic blocks are involved as they can only be edited in AutoCAD.

"The right-click menu is disabled with the selection of every dynamic grip, not just alignment.  It is disabled because the right-click options are not options while running a parameter change.  I can't see how it could ever work or why anyone would want it to" -You seriously lack imagination if you can't see the benefit of being able to right click copy a dynamic block using a point grip or alignment grip instead of having to re-insert the same block every time. Yup, can't see any benefit whatsoever....

"but if you manage to get the add-on code working you should send it to AutoDesk in case they're interesting in adding it. " -Doing free work for Autodesk, that'll be the day...

If you ever have an actual question on Dynamic Blocks instead of just wanting to whine and rant, I'll be sure to resist the urge to ever help you in the future.  You have successfully burned that bridge.  Cheers.

-I'm sorry that your feelings got hurt by a poster who's been asking Autodesk for over 12 years to update their dynamic blocks system.

-I'm sorry that you can't see the possibilities with even having just a few commands in a right click menu. Your box must be very small.

Your very first reply started with "You always have the option not to use the software." Confrontation was inevitable at that point. Then the audacity to say "I can't see how it could ever work or why anyone would want it to" showed me how narrow minded and extremely unhelpful you are and were going to be.

I thank you for not replying to any of my future posts.

Lol, my feelings are not even remotely hurt.  You have merely demonstrated that you are not the type of individual I have any desire to assist.  You have confirmed that even further with your last post as well.  I also didn't say anything about not replying, I just said I wouldn't attempt to assist.  😜  If you want to see how helpful I CAN be, just observe our relative stats.  I have more than 88 TIMES as many marked solutions than what you have.  I realize you have made far fewer posts, so maybe just observe the ratios.  My ratio of posts to marked solutions is currently 5.3:1.  Yours is 17:1.  In other words, you post over 3X as many (useless) posts that are not solutions to anyone else's issues.  You might reconsider your whining, moaning, and griping and actually start behaving in some manner that is actually helpful to others.  Just a thought.
