needed help with dynamic blocks of door and window,,

Hi,i have created dynamic block for door and window.

I want the flipping grip of door to be at centre when it is stretced.

Also the arc for the door opening is correct at its original size, but when stretched there is offset seen on the blocks.

Kindly help to avoid those offsets.

In the window i want the alignment grip to be at centre when stretched vertically.

I am new to the dynamic blocks creation any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

For the flip parameters on the door, you forgot to add the arcs to the flip action.

Regarding the arrows for flipping, I suggest adding a MOVE-action to your distance parameter, then open your properties window - click the move-action and change Distance Multiplier in the Override tab to 0.5 instead of 1.

Have a look at the attached file

Regarding the scale-action, if an object is X percent smaller than the distance it is attached to, the scaled object will keep that X percentage in difference. If you change the distance parameter to be the same width as your arc, all you need to do is make your Scale-action base type Independant and move it's base point to the center of the arc.

Attached updated block again

Without anything selected, simply click the light blue grips (make sure only the grip is highlighted), and move them with the blue square that shows up in the selected grip 🙂 Or select the grip in the same way as mentioned, and specify an offset distance in the properties window

I think your best choise in this case would be to add a lookup parameter to your door block, but I'm not an expert on lookups - Hopefully someone else would be able to help 🙂

I add Stretch and Stretch1 and Scale actions in Flip1 and Flip3 actions

To do that you must have BACTIONBARMODE = 0

And I think you must correct your block. Stretch frame for action Stretch3 must include all doors and arc.

Hi its working now,the arc issue is resolved,

as per your second comment, 'Stretch frame for action Stretch3 must include all doors and arc'

I did this, after which the door frame is stretching in one direction only.

Thanks for the genius solution.
