Hi,

I have to make a large block and i need all the text/Mtext and Attribute blocks to be movable. Is there any other way than adding point parameter on each texts?

Hi Sujan,

not sure I understand exactly what you mean.

you know that you can make only one point parameter and move action and add all text to this move action set. in this way they will all move together as one. does this help?

regards

are you talking about the attribute location being locked?  please give us some more info on what you are trying to do.

All attributes in dynamic blocks should have locked=yes.  Adding point/moves is very quick and easy.  In fact, I could have added probably 30 in the time it has take for me to read this this thread and respond...and I'm not a slow reader or slow typist.  I don't understand the issue.

hi

Is there a way to make normal texts to have grips like attribute texts so that I can move them easily in a block?

Yes, add a point move just like you would to an attribute.

Example attached.

Rotate and Stretch them too if you desire.

Hi Charles

Is there a way i could convert all the text into Attribute text so i can get grips on each text without having to put point parameter on each?

Not that I Know of OOTB.

You would need to create each Attrib in place of the Text but this still would not work while the Block is Dynamic.

Grips like you are asking are not available in a Block; regular or Dynamic.

DynBlk advantage is you can use Parameter and Actions to manipulate.

@Charles_Shade I was able to create a block based on the example you attached below and everything works and I can move the text around, but now I have another question.  If I'm using that block as a the marker for my points I am not able to move the text.  Any ideas???

Nevermind I found the answer.  "Dynamic blocks are no loner dynamic when used as point markers"  I dont know why this is a thing, seems like this should be an upadte

Thanks in advance

Excuse my ignorance: What is a point marker? Are we still talking about AutoCAD?

@j.palmeL29YX  when working with survey points or cogo points you can set the point marker to use a block instead of the normal point styles (crosshairs, target, ect.....)
