LookUp table & Field output

AutoCAD LT 2026

I have set up a fixing block with a lookup table to change the fixing length in conjunction with a part number.

This block fully works & displays the fixing length in the head as a field linked to the dimension data.

The question is I am trying to insert an additional "Field" that will show the "Lookup Properties" i.e. TCZ23019, so that the length & part number are displayed on the block & auto update when changed.

Is this feasible I have tried allsorts in the field generated Object drop downs & nothing seems to work?

Hope the screen grabs help, many thanks in advance.

@dave_rawnsley Look at the attached block. It uses a block properties table and an attribute. Block properties tables can change the text in attributes.

Thank you Howard,

That is spot on, I just need to learn how to do that myself, could i be cheeky & ask for a screen capture video.

Again many thanks.

Unfortunately I cannot screen capture, but it's very easy. Block properties tables work very similarly to lookup tables, apart from you can change attribute text in a properties table, but not a lookup table.

It can be done using the current Lookup setup.  Just get the value via the BlockPlaceholder filed name.  A regen will be needed to update the field after a new selection.
