Large Scale Block hatch not stretching

I have created a block with a solid hatch that stretches when the block is at a scale of 1.  However, when the block is scaled to 50 the hatch no longer stretches like it should.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

How did you hatch the object, by selecting the object or using "pick internal point"?

did you use the associative property while creating the hatch?

You could post the drawing so that we can look into it and give you the solution.

I tried both ways after I saw your response; selecting object and
picking internal point.

The only way I know to stretch a hatch is to use the associative
property and select the associative object to stretch.

FYI: The block is in "inches" but I need to also work in "metric". I
have tried recreating it in metric. I have also tried making a block
with a solid hatch inside a rectangle and the problem still persists.

As I had suspected, the problem was with the hatch.

I remove the hatch and then again hatched it using "select object".

Also a point to noted is to never create a dynamic block by setting "SCALEUNIFORMLY" to "NO", you need to create it with uniform scale. Now uniform scale don't go well with dynamic block.

when scaling the block non-uniformly the dynamic block wouldn't show the grips.

Interesting, I changed the hatch from associating it with the polyline
and selecting to pick an internal point to to see if that would change.
My default when creating hatches is select objects rather than the area.
I went back and recreated the hatch selecting the polyline and it
works. Thanks

How, do I change the block definition to scale uniformly? When I go
into the block definition and change it to uniform scaling and press
"OKAY" it continues to go through process of creating a new block asking
to select objects, insertion point and such.

you can do it from the block editor also. Open the properties and then scroll down and then set "scaleuniformly" to "yes" and then save and close the block editor.

Thanks again!

I got another for you as you seem to be quite knowledgeable.

The block is attached and the problem is that I created block using exact dimensions for the Depth parameter, 127.9. However, when you change the lookup parameter, the depth is off by .00000153.  How do I fix that?

Things what I noticed in the block is that there was no requirement of lookup in this case, as you had already have two visibility state you could have created another one for the "Head/sill recessed" and eliminated lookup and the stretch parameter.

And also the extra stretch action given is of no use.

And regarding the distance of depth its the same when the lookup parameter is changed. Try using the enquiry command "DIST" instead of using "DIMLINEAR", I guess that's where you are getting confused as in the DIMSTYLE alternate units have been made to display.
