Inserted Blocks Not Showing up in printing

Anonymous

When I insert a downloaded block it shows up on my model screen. When I try to print it, it turns into white lines (so its invisible except for where it is overlaying on other layers).

I have tried moving it to other layers

I have tried matching properties to another layer

I have exploded it and grouped it together with no changes

If anyone knows anything about this, I would appreciate the help!

The "better work" file is the one I am trying to attach to the "bridge" file

Hi,

Welcome to Autodesk Forums.

Your block does not seem to be in its layer color. It has got a different color set, that's why you are not able to print that block. You need to change the blocks layer color to (set by layer) option.

Setbylayer.JPG

For that just type SETBYLAYER command and select the block fully or type all for all objects and hit the include the blocks option. Then all your layer colors will be set according to layer and you will be able to print the block.

Hi Vinay!

Thank you for your response.

I have tried to enter the "SETBYLAYER" command and nothing is coming up, is it possible there could be another command layer for this?

I wonder why SETBYLAYER command not working with you.

Which version of Autocad are you using?
