How to get multi layer menus for reverse lookups?

I'm seeing that it is possible to do a tree-based selection for reverse lookups on the help page under "Enable Reverse Lookup". I would like to do something similar, mainly setting up pipe fittings in a dynamic block to be able to pick the size (ie: 4", 6", 8"), and then the submenu popping out with the fitting options (90, tee, check valve, etc). Does anyone know of any tutorials to get a layered menu to show up in the reverse lookup?

Oh, that makes more sense... Guess it was poorly worded? I can't seem to
get those menus to work even with the properties table though...

Awesome, thanks. I think I can probably make this work; I've been attemping to build a grid of pipe fittings with the rows being the size of the fittings and columns being the fitting type. Looks like I will only be able to build a single row and basically just have the pieces constrained in a way that the fittings can be properly scaled up from 4" to 6".
