Is it just the text that is changing or are you in fact wanting a rectangle of the correct size?

Not quite how you wanted it.

You choose the beam type and the leg and it changes the text for you

Add a Block Properties Table in block editor. I the upper left corner push the Add Properties button and choose the Beam Type attribute and the Dimension attribute (in that order)    Now to to excel and select all the cells with the beam type and dimensions, copy them to the clipboard, return to autocad and paste them into the block properties table.  Save your way out of the block editor.  Test block.  Choose beam type via grip on block properties

table grip.  A regen will update the dimension.
