Hide block insertion point

Is is there a way to hide a block's insertion point? I'm thinking the answer is no, other than pragmatically.

It's a redundant grip that I don't want to see in my block.

No there is no way to hide the insertion point of a block.

Why is it redundant for you? It's the easiest way to move a block.

I have actions that stretch the block away from the insertion point. The more you copy and stretch it the further it is away from it's insertion point. And sometimes it ends up annoyingly near other grips.

If you want the insertion point to stay near to those grips you could always use the basepoint parameter and add that to a stretch or move

A constrained block is the only way I seem to be able to get what I want working (Block 3 in the attached)

Block 1 the grips stray from the block.

Block 2 I can't work out.

Add a move action to each of your distance parameters and when choosing an object to move choose the other parameter (1 and 2 in the image below). Also change the distance multiplier to 0.5 (ringed) in the image below and your grips will always stay centered in  your block
