Function / Rule for object or text deletion if dynamic action moves past a point?

Is there any function or rule for an object or text to be deleted if an action moves past a point?  So if I'm stretching a wall where a note is but the note becomes invalid in content once the wall moves longer, can the text be made by the action to be removed?

Sure.  Create two visibility states; one with the text, one without.  Then use a double lookup or block properties table to switch visibility state based on the length of the wall.

Aha, okay.  Must read about this.  I just finally mastered dynamic block creation and stretching with objects recentering.  I've not done any with visibility states.

Libbya, do you mind to help with one more point (no pun intended).  I have a stretchable block that I made to have one side stretch out 4 ft.  It functions but I'm not able to stretch the block inward 4-ft because when outward, it lands on the block insertion point.  The entire block moves.  This really defeats the purpose.  What is the answer around this??

I'm having trouble understanding how to apply the Visibililty State to the one note & leader and the program isn't letting me add a 2nd Visibility.  I must be doing it wrong.  Do you mind to have a look??    I appreciate it!

There is only one visibility parameter permitted per block.  You can add as many visibility states as you choose.

Regarding your prior issue, if a grip ends up on another grip, you can change the parameter value in properties so that the grip is no longer on top of another grip.

Thank you very much.  Regarding the Visibillity, I don't fund any way to specify settings on the Double Floor Joists State.  Only when I make a new one does it offer Hidden or Show but then how then do I select which objects??  I'm completely lost and following Autodesk guides is not helping.

I figured it out for myself though the process is not at all intuitive!

Regarding adjusting the one parameter so that the arrow grip doesn't land on the block insertion point, when I adjusted the dimension point, it shifts the whole block.  Would you mind showing me what you mean?  I reattached here.  Thank you again.

Hello, Libbya -

Is there any chance that you can look at the message and attachment above and help me adjust so that once stretched, the block can be pulled back (as it lands on the block insertion point and the stretch grips no longer appear after stretched outward 4-ft).

Hope so - thank you!

The stretch grip is always visible.  If it lands directly on top of the base point grip, the stretch grip is displayed and the base point grip is not.  If it is just slightly off, then the stretch grip is not very visible.  Maybe you need to zoom in.

Your parameters were created backwards.  The first point you select when creating a linear parameter is the parameter base point.  The second point selected is the end point.  If you are only using one grip, you should have that singe grip at the end point.  If you made your parameters that way, you could edit the value in properties for the grip end to move.

Thank you for seeing my message and replying.  I will try.  I don't know why I'm not receiving notifs to my email when you reply even though I check the box.

Thanks again.  Are you saying that my block as-is will do what I want or because of how I made it, once stretched out 4-ft, I cannot pull it back in ?  When I grab the arrow to pull back, the whole block moves.

The video I posted is of your block unaltered.  If you grab the block basepoint grip, then the whole block moves.  If you grab the stretch grip it stretches that part of the block.  The stretch grip is always accessible.
