Dynamic screw over geometry and hide it

Is there a way in AutoCAD to make dynamic screw over the geometry: lines and hatches, and hide them? If Dynamic screw is deleted, geometry would show up beneath. It is like a layer vector picture, that is associative to scales of viewport. Can this be done without redefine of geometry and hatch boundary?

You can apply a solid hatch to the screw with a layer that is set to plot with 0% screening.

I do this to most of my blocks because I hate messing with hatch boundaries.

If you need more of an explanation please let me know and I would be glad to continue to help.

If this answers your question please accept this as the solution.

You could probably also do it with a wipeout within the block.  Include the wipeout in dimensional stretches and or rotations.

Hatches and wipeouts can also be given a transparency if you wanted them to only partially block the objects underneath.

Your solution is very hazy and complicated. Yet I am sure it works! Thank you! 🙂

Thank you for reply (sorry for earlier post), joshmowry02, can you please make your answer more detailed? Step by step? I would like to accept your answer as a solution as well. Your way might be even easier than WIPEOUT function if done correctly, I think. I just don't understand the steps and how it works exactly.

Here is a screen cast from my work account that shows how the mask layer works and how to set it up.

In my opinion this is the best way to do this. At the end of the day it's what ever works best for you though.
