Dynamic Blocks with multiple visibilities and parameters

Is it possible to have a block with multiple visibilities and multiple parameters that apply to each visibility?

I have a section mark with it scaling up to various scales as visibilities.

I'm trying to add a flip vertical and lengthen parameter to each one.

Yes, what I think you are asking is possible.

If you want more specific assistance, you would need to post the file with a specific description of how you want it to behave.

Hi @Libbya

Thanks for your response.

Please see attached dwg file.

If you look in block editor, at the 1:10 visibility, I want the two parameters to apply (length and flip horizontal) to apply to all the visibilities.

The two parameters are to stretch the tail of the block and flip the whole block horizontally.

Thanks in advance.

Oh dear.  I'm still on 2017 and can't open it.  Can you backsave and repost?

Why not make the blocks annotative and use annotative scaling so that it works automatically?

I'm not a big fan of annotative text.  I use it for civil 3d objects but not for normal text

Ok.  I find annotative abilities to be one of the best additions to AutoCAD in the last 20 years but to each their own.  Now that annotative is out the window, can you give a more specific description of how you would like the block to behave in the various scales?

So I want the head and tail to flip horizontally, so that it can be changed depending on what direction the section is taken.  I also want the tail to be able to stretch down but with the head staying in position.

If you look at the parameters for 1:10 visibility, this is already achieved for this one.

Do you really want the lengths between head and tail to scale?  When using section or detail cut lines in work, when changing scales I want the length of the line to remain constant with scale changes so that the marked sectioned or detailed length remains consistent through scale changes.

This screencast shows how I would deal with the block.

I would like the tail to change so that it is stretchable depending on the site and the width the section is taken at

The screencast I posted allows you to stretch the length of the line from either the head or the tail.  It also allows you to move the block with the center grip or flip the arrows.  You can even rotated the line angle and arrow direction to any desired rotation at the same time you stretch.  It allows much easier addition of scales by simply adding a row to the lookup table.  In my experience it would be much more friendly to use and also easier to modify than the way you were setting it up previously.  Is there some way that doesn't suit your needs?

Hi @Libbya

I've just watched the video, its excellent.  Very informative.

I'll follow the steps on it and recreate my block as you have recommended.  Using the scale option seems a much easier way than having multiple visibility's.  I will also apply this to a few others!

Thank you very much for your assistance on this.
