Dynamic Block top view and front view

Hello,

For the company i work for, i have made dynamic blocks to speed up mine tempo.

This helped me a lot, but every time i have new ideas and i would like know if it the following is possible.

I have a dynamic door that is in front view and i have a rectungular (top view of the door) under it that for the top view for to the overview

of the building.

Mine question is:

I want only to see insert the rectungalur (top view of the door) in the overview of the building and stretch it to the size i need and when i press the front view, i can see thedoor with the same size. Also when is insert the retungular you also give the specific height of the door front view.

I know you sadly cant have 3d dynamic blocks in autocad, but is there a simple solution for this, or some sort of script i can make for this.

Try this and see if this is what you wanted for visibility issue.

For the last part, the height to be inputted when inserting the block, I don't know.

You might look at this mod of your drawing as well.  You are able to choose your different sizes during either view by way of properties, and by way of grips while in the respective view.

Your statement about 3d dynamic blocks is partly right.  We do have although very limited, 3d ability in dynamic blocks if you dont mind being limited to alteration in just 2 of the 3 dimensions, and you work in no more than surfaces. (no solids)

Attached as well is a column that just a surface mesh box really, but stood up on end, it makes a 3d column.

Oh, and welcome to the forums!  You will find many are very knowledgeable and willing to share their advice.

Its not exactly what i am looking for. 

I was hoping for a different solution because i had just only one door, in mine work i have different doors and windows that are dynamic.

Isnt it possible to program it?

I'm not sure what you mean. Am i reading your post correctly? You are wanting a single DB that can be a window or a door?

You could very well do that if that is what you're wanting, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

If you search the forum you could probably find many examples of dynamic windows, and of dynamic doors.

I don't know if you will find many examples, if any, that are both windows and doors.
