hello everyone, I have a block that I want to stretch from both sides but not a straight stretch but as angular or rotate

that will kind of can stretch around.

even if it's from one side that will be ok if both sides can't be done.

please let me know this can be done. I will attached a CAD file.

if my info is not clear enough please let me know.

thank you in advance

First let me ask you, if your example was drawn precise.

- Do you need rectangles as end caps (as shown in your example, then please confirm that) or do you want a geometry where the direction of the most outer lines show exactly to the centerpoint.

- where is the base point (vertex) of the angular dimension. Currently it is not in the centerpoint of the arcs. Is this really what you want to achieve?

@j.palmeL29YX hi,

not sure why angular dimension not in the centerpoint but the radius I want is 1105 as shown.

so it's more like I want to stretch it around as a circle, the reason is that I have same radius but with different angular sizes.

please let me know if I have explained it well

thank you

To clarify what I mean I have drawn the endcaps wider. (see attachment)
Then I dragged the endpoints of the arc length dimension to the most outer endpoints (I guess you did it too (?)). Now you see that such a dimensioning does not make sense (IMHO).

Do you really need/want the lengthen of the outer (red drawn) curve (Line + Arc + Line) as the driving parameter? Or is it also allowed to stretch the geometry by changing the angle of the arc(s) and the shown resulting "arc length" is only an additional (calculated) "information"?

Attached the result of one of the (IMO) meaningful interpretations of your issue.

Surely you can adapt this suggestion to your current requirements.

@j.palmeL29YX thank you so much, yes I have to keep this dimension and radius of 1105

the second CAD file you sent with dynamic block, it's really helpful.

could you please if you would have a chance just post a short video of how to do it. so I can learn for my upcoming blocks.?

I appreciate your help.

regards,

>>Here<< you go.

BTW:

You can improve the "quality" of such block if use "Sub"blocks for all geometry whose shape and dimensions are not to be changed (in your current example the both rectangles).

I really appreciate your help.

thank you again.
