Dynamic Block Rotate Action Control - 3D solids

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to drive a rotation automatically when I modify a move action in a dynamic block.

I am working with 3D solids, so geometric and dimensional constraints don't work.

I have tried to chain the commands to get the move action to control the rotate action, but I cant get that to work.

I have tried using stretch and scale instead of move.

I tried using polar stretch instead of rotate.

I also tried to use the parameters table to create a trigonometry formula in the rotate "expression" field, but action parameters don't seem to work with any type of expression.

I have attached a couple of screen shots and my example model.

I want to raise and lower the upper two pieces a few inches in each direction while keeping the sing arm on the "ground".

Any ideas?

I answered my own question by adding 2D gemoetry (lines) to my 3d  geometry and making blocks.

Then I was able to use constraints to control the motion.

I have attached the completed file.
