Dynamic Block Move Point Issues - Creating Water Valve Block with Attributes

Hello all,

This will be my first time posting to this forum and with that being said, I am in need of some help creating a dynamic block.

I have tried everything to my knowledge and have also tried following "How-To" videos, but I am still having a hard time creating a block for a water valve.

The goal of this block is to have a valve symbol, as well as, text box with attribute definitions to display elevations and valve number.

The biggest issue I am having is when I "move" the block using the grip points I created, the grip does not follow with the block and is left in the same spot, as well as, when the visibility state is changed.

Another issue, is the attribute definition text does not display when the block is tested or inserted into a drawing, but it displays within the block editor.

I have attached a drawing of the block. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated and welcomed!

Thank you so much!

hi

When you move block with grip not the grip is stay on place but block basepoint.

You must place Block basepoint and add it to move action.

About attributes - they must have unique tags (in your block 2 attributes have identic tags - 000.00).

To see attributes in drawing (not block editor mode) they must have value - type there something and you will see that.
