Open the block in block editor.

Select the attributes.

Go to Properties.

At the bottom under Misc, find Preset.

Change Preset from Yes, to No.

Save block.

Thanks for the quick response.
I changed the preset from yes to no, saved the block, closed the editor,
exited the drawing of the block.
opening the block in editor to check the preset and it still says yes.

That's weird.  It should save back, not sure why it isn't, but I confirmed.  The following worked for me, though.

Insert the block into a host file.

Open the block in block editor.

Change attributes so Preset=No.

In the Save pulldown in block editor select Save As.

On the dialog, put a checkmark in the save as file box.

Save to original block file overwriting it.

SHAZZAMM, that fixed it thanks so much.

I have used dynamic blocks created by others on a previous job and they are great.

However, I am really green at how they work, so creating or modifying them for the new job is a real challenge.

I watch utube videos when I can.

Any other good sources for learning dynamic blocks?

Best resources I know of are youtube, Autodesk help, and this forum.
