Dyn Block with Polar Stretch/Base point parameter

Hi,

Attached is drawing with a Dynamic block.

The block contains a rectangle with an associative hatch.

Each corner of the rectangle has a point parameter with a stretch action.

It also has a base point parameter in the center.

The attached drawing shows 2 instances of the block.

On the left is in its original state.

On the right, is shown when i move a few grips.

My problem is how to make the base point parameter always be centered when i use the polar grips.

Help is appreciated.

Kind regards

Shoey

What do you mean centered?  "Centered" between 4 independently moved points needs better clarification.

I don't know what you need that for and also I don't have a solution to do exactly what you want. But attached a block with an additional small circle (or point or whatever you want) which always stays in the geometrical center of the shape. Perhaps  this helps you a little ... (?)

Hi Libbya and Jurgen,

Many thanks for your replies.

And thanks for the time in the example DBlock Jurgen created.

In reply to Libbya's question. If you change any of the stretch grips, I wanted the base point parameter to be always geometric centered within the modified quadrilateral shape. Just like the circle in Jurgens example.

I do have a reason for  this, but it is not essential.

My original posted block example is fine. I just preferred for the base insertion point to follow the geometric centre of the hatch, if it was possible. If not - no problem.

Thanks again.
