door block

I am working to create a door as my first dynamic block. With the dwg attached as reference, the door does not seem to be able to stretch the width correctly. The door rotates despite the stretch action for the rectangle having an angle offset of 30deg. Does the stretch action consider the position of the rectangle as having an angle other than 30deg?

Looking forward, can I count on configuring this block to also have a grip / action to rotate the door about its hinges? Or for this would I need blocks of set widths? The original issue raises some doubt about both being possible ..

Your swing is not scaling correctly because you do not have the endpoint of the arc properly at the outer corner of the door.  Fix that and it works fine.

Yes, you can make the door rotate.

Okay, I see the angle offset is working correctly, but the issue arises from the arc not lengthening. I actually prefer to draw doors with the swing arc occluded by the door at the end. Is there a way to configure the parameters / actions to lengthen the arc as it scales?

Occluding the arc is incorrect drafting.  The swing arc is not a physical object that can be occluded.  Instead, it is an imaginary item that represents the arc of that corner of the door as it rotates around the hinge point.  If you feel you must have the door incorrectly occlude the visibility of the end of the swing, then use a wipeout within the door panel and set the arc behind it using DRAWORDER.

I appreciate this perspective conveying ideas properly. However, in next adding a grip to rotate the door, I will need to lengthen the arc of the swing along with an action for adjusting the door angle. Would it be possible to use this approach to configure the door as drawn to not break with scaling width?
