Creating a block where size depends on input from user

How do I create a block where its size depend on the size I put in.

Example: If I wanted a fixture 6" by 1'. After selecting the block I would be asked length and width. This would prevent me from having to create a fixture block 6"x1'

There is no sound, but with the captured mouse and keyboard events every step is clear.

Yes I am sure they are, If you could see where the mouse is pointing. The video is too small to see where the mouse is pointing.

Are you for real?  I'm spoon-feeding you and you take issue with the size of the spoon?  Make it full screen.

I did make it full screen. You video is only 6" wide and 3" tall on my end. Hard to read. Only after enlarging my screen to 225% was it readable and it work. You instruction were very helpful in the blocks creation. But When I tried to insert it into a drawing from our block library it failed. Any suggestion

It must be hard to use AutoCAD on a screen that is only 6" x 3".

Do you understand that the other members of this forum are not getting paid for helping you?  Why do you want to avoid wasting your own time but have no qualms about wasting everyone else's?  Are you that much more important than everyone else?  If you want further assistance from me you will need to adjust your attitude.

As a last attempt at assistance, here is a screencast that shows how to make a screencast fullscreen.  By fullscreen, I mean that the entire viewing area of the monitor displays the screencast.

To view an AutoCAD video which is only 6"x3" is almost impossible especially when your screen you are trying to view it on is a wide flat screen monitor

You are not making any sense at all.  If you make the screencast 'fullscreen' it will fill your entire monitor.  If you have a 'wide flat screen monitor' the screencast will be a whole lot larger than 6" x 3" unless your 'wide flat screen monitor' is an iPhone.  Look at the last screencast I posted it shows EXACTLY what button to push to make the screencast fullscreen.  To return from fullscreen hit 'esc'.  Once you've figured out how to display the screencast fullscreen, go back and watch the first one I posted, then head on over to YouTube and watch a bunch of free tutorial videos on dynamic blocks, then read up on them in the help files, then use the search function on this forum for specific issues you run into, and...

...then...

...post back if you have further questions.

Libbya,

My monitor is a standard flat wide screen typically used for AutoCAD.  I currently have three monitors on my desk.  I was able to to view both your videos after I zoom my monitors 200%.  Those double arrows to the right of the Volume symbol do not exist on both the videos when displayed on my screens. The idea of running AutoCAD on a IPhone, well is you decide.

Thank you for your other suggestions.

Please post a screen capture that has the screencast in view so I can see what you are describing.  Thanks.
