Control spline in Dynamic Block

Hello,

I've been using Autocad with dynamic block to create different elements.

Now, I'm trying to use a spline in a dynamic block.

My spline is defined by 4 points:

- 1 starting point fix

- 1 end point fix

- 2 vertex points.

I know the position of all these points. I can easily draw the spline in the "model space" of Autocad. My problem is that I do not know how to put constraint and dimensions on the 2 vertex points in the dynamic block.

Maybe, it is not possible?

I have also tried to use the "smooth" function, it works well to define the orientation of the tangent, but it doesn't allow controling the geometry of the spline totally.

(I'm using Autocad 2015)

Thanks for your answer.

Simon

You can control the spline points using parameters and stretch actions.  See attached.  If you want better help than that you'll need to post a block and give a detailed description of what you are trying to achieve.

Thanks very much for your quick answer.

So now, I understand how the stretching the "fit point" of the spline works.

What I'm looking for is to do exactly the same, but controling the "vertex points" of the spline. I've tried to updat the file you send (attached) but I can't make the stretching works on the vertex point.

I am more interested in the vertex points because they are the points that I have calculated and that allows getting the exact shape of the spline I am looking for.

Thanks again,

hi!

may be You can check if the spline moving corectly if You make block in this

I don't see diference if move points in DB or do the same with spline vertex points (in exploded DB)

The same  - I can't see diference in Libbya block

That's perfect thanks

But how did you do that. what I did was:

- create the position 1 point

- move the vertex point on the position 1 point

- create the stretch actions

Maybe it's when I create the stretch that I didn't select correctly the spline. How do you select the vertex point which is not shown?

I just add add spline to stretch action - that's all

Ah yes, it works. I don't know what I selected previously Smiley Embarassed

So it's perfect, thank you.
