I just learned about dynamic blocks today, very exciting! I ran into a small problem and I'm hoping this forum can help me out!

I've created different types of door blocks naming each block with the text shown below. Each block has individual actions (stretching door size and flipping). Each block works great!

Here is the issue I'm running into:

I want to combine all door blocks into 1 block, then use the visibility tool to easily switch between each. To do this, I centered all blocks on the same point. With all blocks selected I created a single block named "Door". After assigning each door type a different visibility state, I am able to switch between each type of door. However, I am unable to adjust the individual actions anymore (stretching door size and flipping). How can I re-enable the actions that existed when each door type was an individual block?

The simple answer is that you can't.  Outside of block editor you cannot access the dynamic properties of nested dynamic blocks.  You could potentially move the linework from the nested dynamic block into the host dynamic block and recreate all parameters/actions of each nested block.  You could then still use visibility states to switch between what was previously different dynamic blocks.

I was afraid this was the only option. Extra work on my end... But it works. Thanks for the reply!

Just consider the prior work good practice.  It should go faster the second time.  🙂
