Built-in Dynamic Blocks

Hi there,

I am completely new at Dynamic Blocks. I learnt autocad when I bought a pentium and since then I have been using the same commands.

Now I have discovered Dynamic Blocks just right now.

I am so inspired!

You can draw tones of stairs with just one single block!

Now I need to watch a tons of tutorials at youtube

And what about the Built-in Dynamic Blocks??

Where can I charge a family of windows in autocad architecture?

I mean, almost all of us are struggling with the same blocks, which may include cars, tables and chairs, stairs, beds, human scales, ...

Even for the classical blocks. It should be possible to download my new autocad version and have a bunch of blocks, with different views, all designed with simple and beautiful lines and the same criteria. Even they may have a different amount of details depending on the scale of the layout

Looking forward for the next update!

There are a few options for the blocks to show in new versions of AutoCAD.

The most basic and oldest way is you can export each block individually using WBLOCK and keep them in the same folder and access via DESIGNCENTRE.

If you have a set of individual blocks in a folder already you can also right click on these whilst in Design Centre and then click Create Tool Palette which is a good way to access your most used blocks.

Link below on using tool palettes:

AutoCAD 2024 Help | Insert Blocks Quickly with Tool Palettes | Autodesk

The Tool Palette address path can be added in OPTIONS which will be transferred to new AutoCAD versions.

Another option which is easier than setting up a tool palette is that AutoCAD a few years ago updated the INSERT tool so that you can add a block library there.

Cheers,

-Will
