Block swap not working on Dynamic attributed blocks

I have a dynamic block called: FLOWTAG_TERMINATION_DYN that I use on so many of my drawings. It has a droplist to select 4 different types of Flowtags based on what the need is. I have quiet a few drawings that have old Flowtag blocks in them that I want to convert over to the new one. The old Flowtag block name is: 2BOX.

My steps to achieving this in the past:

1. BATMAN command to change the Tags to match identically from the 2BOX to the new FLOWTAG_TERMINATION_DYN as shown here:

2. Now I can run the BLOCKREPLACE command but this is what happens...

I get this "the following characters are invalid" error. So, the work around for when I get this, is to insert the block from my library and "Insert & Redifine" it. Most generally, this will work and it will allow me to perform an ATTSYNC and all the attributes are swapped from the old block to the new block. However, the minute I change the block from the droplist and select the (2) LINE FLOWTAG - INSTRUMENTATION

it throws that "the following characters are invalid" and it like a big Catch22 scenario. It wants me to "Redifine & Insert" the actually block name, but does not look at the dynamic part of the block. (Essentially I have 4 different styles of blocks named ONE block name).

How do I work around this?

I attached the drawing for reference

Isn't the issue because you have 10 attributes in your new block and only two in the first block?
