Block issue can i get some advise

I just started at a company and I am trying to use their blocks but when I put them on and go to print the writing is not there. is this a setting or something I am missing?

It could be a couple things.  If the block is not annotative, then maybe you placed it on a non-plotting layer.  If it is annotative, then the little icon for displaying annotative objects might be off.

In case those hints don't lead to a solution, you could help us help you by posting a small DWG containing one or two of these misbehaving blocks.

It would also be helpful to know more about the printing. Printing to what, specifically? A hardcopy printer (what model), PDF (using what driver or PC3), or other? Plotting from model space or paper space?

Do you know what sort of object(s) the "writing" is? (Text, MText, Dim text, Attribute, other?)

Could just be the attribute in the block is set to annotative if the rest of the block is showing up fine.

The rest of the block shows up fine but none of the text.

Without a DWG to dig into or more information, we are all just guessing.

If the text is part of the block then you'll need to edit the attribute by double clicking it and under text options, uncheck Annotative. That should do it.

I would advise against changing the company block file.  It sounds like you just need to turn on the display for annotative objects.  At the bottom of the screen in the center are three triangular icons.  Learn what those do before editing the block file.
