Block Attributes Reset in Table?

I have an issue where... everyone once in a while, without rhyme or reason, the attributes of blocks within a table will reset to there default value (in this case "#" as seen in the image below). Has anyone experienced this before or have a fix? Thanks a bunch!

I've seen linked attributes become unlinked due to various reasons.  Most likely would be a change to the attribute definitions.  Another would be that the attributes rely on a custom sheet set or project navigator property and the sheet set or project navigator has changed set/project.  I'm reluctant/unwilling to spend the time typing on other wild guesses.

Any fix would need to address the reason for the occurrence.  If it occurs truly 'without rhyme or reason' then there cannot be a fix.  I think it is far more likely that it does have a cause and that it has something to do with your process or with your install and that the cause is likely predictable/repeatable once you isolate when it occurs and due to what actions.  You've given remarkably little information to go on to assist you with that, though - no attached file, no description of how the attributes were previously linked, etc...

Hi Libbya, thanks for the input. I do feel like it happened every time I needed to relink layouts to a sheet set manager. So i renamed the .DWG, relinked the layout to sheet set manager, and hit REGEN... and like you said, the attributes of the Square Construction Note shown in my original post reset to the default value of "#." The strange thing is, those attribute values are not tied to the sheet set manager. They are input at the properties palette, so I don't know why they would be affected by a layout's association to the SSM.

If I had to guess, when a layout loses association with it's sheet set, and then is relinked... it ping's the ACAD table to update, but for some reason resets all attributes of blocks in table... which is unfortunate. Not sure what the fix would be aside from hoping that a .DWG doesn't get renamed and it's layouts reassociated to the SSM.

Posting the file and giving further description of your workflow for creating the table, block, inputting att values, etc, might help others understand the issue better.
