BCOUNT function within Block with Visibility States

I have a number of blocks which I am updating & adding tags for Data Extraction. However in the meantime while the Data Extraction is being developed, I am using BCOUNT command. So far everything is working fine. Now i have added a Visibility State to the block in order to show hatching on or off.

The strange thing is that some of the blocks still count & some dont? All blocks have been created the same. Any clues?

SS010 - works

SS012 - doesnt

I played with this and was baffled. I did some searching and found the following link. It sounds like it doesn't work right because the BCOUNT tool predates Dynamic Blocks. There is a link furhter down in the thread for a lisp routine to count Dynamic Blocks. I tried it out and it is pretty cool! It counts the blocks but also totals how many of each visibility state there are.
