Autocad 2017 - I can't see action parameter in a dynamic block

Hi guys,

I am trying to set a dynamic block but when I try to set an action parameter (any of them), at the final step the parameter disappear. When I check on the Parameters Manager, it recognises my Action Parameter (and in "show" it says YES) but I can not see it on my screen, so I can not select it to set any action.

Could you help me with this?

Thanks

Solved.

Layer 0 was off. Just turned it on and the parameters came back to my screen.

I hope it helps!

If possible please provide a bit more information.

Like...

Screengrabs of the issue or a screencast video

It'll help when providing suggestions or workarounds to try.

That's interesting. I just had the same problem with a students drawing. The parameters were on layer 0. I turned it on and they appeared. I changed the parameters to a layer that is used in the block and saved the changes then went back into the block editor.

Back on layer 0. Tried saving the drawing..still on layer 0. I think layer 0 must have been the current layer when the block was created. I have made hundreds of dynamic blocks; count my students as well probably thousands. This is the first time this has come up for me. Thank you for the solution. Now I will create one with layers but have layer 0 current to see if I can replicate it.

Cheers

Anthony

Must have  never had a student turn layer 0 off before ?

Hi,

Thanks for your response. Turning on layer zero sorted it.
