Turn the lines you want invisible into construction lines.

OK, I see the problem. I use AutoCAD LT, however we have server license of full so I will make this there.

Thanks a lot.

In the block editor, convert the whished geometry (lines, circles, arcs, ...) to construction geometry (command bconstruction).

In the block editor you will see this geometry dashed, in the block reference they are invisible.

If the construction line creation is not available in LT, then a workaround is to add a visibility parameter and then select the path lines you want invisible and make them invisible for all states.

...  or you draw this "help" line overlapping another visible line (if possible).

is there a way to do this but to not have the array skip values? the block in these examples goes from one circle to three circles when stretched. but what if i want it to go, one, two three, four circles, etc. ?

Yes, but depending on your particular situation it may not apply.  See attached.
