aligning text to a line inside dynamic block

Hi all,

What im trying to achieve is to have the text rotate (or line up) with the diagonal line when i stretch the block horizontally or vertically

is there a way?

searched and looked at youtubes video all day and i cannot find a simple answer

Yes, when you have a lot of screencasts in your account , loading them slows down significantly.  I tend to delete the older ones.

Raise the issue with the way Autodesk.  The way the screencast system works, it because dysfunctional with too many linked to the account.  The option is not to leave all screencasts posted.  The options are that I either delete very old ones or not post any new ones.  Either way you lose information.

I wanted to make an additional comment on this subject.  I probably post an average of 15-20 screencasts per month that answer other users' questions.  I have found that once there are 80+ screencasts in my account, it takes a very long time for the screencasts pulldown to list the screencasts.  By the time there are ~90 it can take 10+ minutes for the list to show up so I can select the appropriate screencast.  I have not ever been able to have more than 110 screencasts in my account without the screencast pulldown hanging PERMANENTLY.  In other words, once I have ~110 screencasts in my account I have reached the upper limit and cannot post any new screencasts without deleting the old ones.  With a completely empty account, I will reach that limit in ~6 months.  I try to leave the ones that apply to the most common questions active in my account but without deleting some of the older ones, I cannot post any new ones.  Answering the questions that are being asked NOW, seems more pertinent than keeping screencasts that answer questions that were asked 6+ months ago.  I certainly realize that deleting older screencasts means that occasionally someone will come across a thread in the archives where the answer to their current question has been deleted.  The number of people who search the archives, though, is small.  If someone is frustrated with a screencast being missing, then they can always post their question to the forum.  If I'm still around, I'll post the answer again, unless the question is being asked by someone who has abused my good graces in the past.

I appreciate the suggestion Ojuris, but I don't think that would work very well for me.  The screencasts are linked to the autodesk account you use to post replies.  I would have to use a new account for all posts every 6 months or so.

I have a similar need. Please see attached block. I'd like to be able to pull either end grip and keep the text aligned with the line. Thank you in advance.

Ok.  I'll give a description with the screencast in case it gets deleted when I need to reduce the number of screencasts again...  

Add a polar parameter.  Add a stretch action to stretch each end of the line.  Add a polar stretch associated with each end point and add the text/attribute to each selection set.  Change the distance modifier to 0.5 for each polar stretch.

To eliminate the extra base point grip, add a base point parameter to one end point.  Add a gripless chained point move and add the base point to the move's selection set.  Add the chained point parameter to the selection set for the stretch action at that end of the line.

Ojuris, your post is empty.  Regardless, Autodesk Screencast requires login to an Autodesk account for use.  What you are proposing is that I create a new account every 6 or 8 months when the number of screencasts makes it unmanageable.  If I were to post from my current account I would need to log out, log into the new account, create the screencast, upload it, log out of the new account, log into my current account, post the screencast link.  I'm just not willing to work that hard on it.  It's all stuff that I know how to do so there is no advantage to me personally, just a lot of extra work on a day to day basis in order to accommodate those few individuals who happen to search the archives.

If there is a screencast that anyone would not like to see deleted, then I would recommend that they create their own Screencast account, recreate the screencast and host it themselves.

I tried to attach screencast from other account but when I push POST button screencast wasn't in post. And I can't see option to delete post.

And you are right about log in / out from accounts - that is additional time
