Hello

I need advice to solve 2 problems with creating my dynamic block for double door .

1. When I change the status of the door from normal to glass (Visibility states) Some kind of error occurs. The elements that represents the glass does not work correctly. Number 1 on the sketch.

2. There is a background in the block (wipeout). This is needed to hide part of the wall, in the place where the door will stand. This object also does not work correctly when there are changes in length, mirroring. Number 2 on the sketch.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

I’ve found the following issues:

  • Rotation Grip was not visible in both states.

  • Rotate Action Selection Set was not including all the objects in both states. To fix it, set BVMODE system variable to 1 to show hidden objects dimmed, right-click the Rotate Action icon, scroll down to Action Selection Set and then click on Modify Selection Set. Select all the elements from bottom-right to the opposite upper-left corner.

Please see the attached fixed result.

Thank you for detailed explanation, and the fixed file.

I have done several times according to your instructions, with that source file.
I changed BVMODE system variable to 1
After that, through Rotate Action icon I use Modify Selection Set and then select all elements in the dynamic block.
But every time I don't succeed and get a result like in this thumbnail.
Maybe you have a suggestion which step I am doing wrong?

Here's a step-by-step video showing how to fix your block.

After fixing it in the Block Editor, get rid of all the previously inserted stretched/rotated/mirrored blocks without purging the file. Insert a new "fresh" block and try to rotate/stretch/mirror again.

Updating the block definition will automatically update any current insertions within the file.  If any existing insertions are still broken after updating the block and returning to model space, that is an indication that the block definition still needs work.  There are some exceptions to that rule, but they do not apply to this particular block.

I'm sorry, I have another question related to this block. Could you just suggest the necessary commands.
The point is that I want to add another parameter that would change the thickness of the door. After many attempts, I keep getting the wrong result:

Sure. I attach 2 files.
1 is the file I was able to fix according to your video.
2 this file includes my attempts to add a parameter to change the width.
