How to plot in black?

Hi!

I am trying to plot in black a drawing which is originally in light colors. I don't have a "monochrome" option in the "Plot style table (pen assignments" dropdown menu in the "Plot" window. Can I fix this? Is there an alternative to turn all the layers black? I also do not see al the layers in the "Layers" section, so I don't have the option to turn each of them black there.

Ask the file creator to send you their MONOCHROME plot style table or better yet whatever it is they use to get B/W output for their drawings in their office.
There are MONOCHROME plot style table all over the web too from others, find, download, install and use them if needed.

Not sure that's possible unless you did not change a preset layer filter that limits visibility of layers

Or do you simply mean objects in the file do not adhere to the LAYER settings, they contain color overrides? The file creator can assist you with that as well, consider reaching out to them.

Hi! Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately I don't have the possibility to request any changes from the file creator, I have to work with the file as-is and convert it to a black and white pdf.

I found monochrome.ctb and when placing it in the correct autodesk folder I saw it was already there along with other styles. The issue seems to not be the file missing, but it is not displayed as an option in the dropdown menu for the plot style table - I see only New and None.

That was not the folder your program session is using sadly, so that's not going to work. Try using the folder here

You might have to restart DWGTRUEVIEW to use it.
