Uncommanded browser level display changes

Never noticed this before, but recently my left hand object browser has been collapsing itself without my consent. For example, if I am working on a sketch within a subcomponent of a higher-level component, which may be itself be a subcomponent (because that's how I organize my work), then when I exit the sketch, my browser is *always* collapsed back to the highest level ancestor component in the entire browser tree.

Steps to repeat:

1/ Have a component structure with components nested 3 or 4 deep.

2/ Open up browser tree to a deep nested component a 3rd or 4th level deep.

3/ Open up, and hide or show a few more objects as well to create a custom browser arrangement workspace setup as you would for some typical work.

4/ Now edit a sketch within a component that is nested 3 or 4 components deep.

5/ Exit the sketch.

6/ Bang! your nice browser setup has vanished and all banner objects are closed right up to the next-root-level. Your nice custom work setup is gone. You have to manually re-open everything again to get back to where you were just before you edited that sketch.

Take a look at this.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/449d0a91-639d-460e-91dd-66091f0faf00

It doesn't happen in all files and all circumstances, but it happens very often in my main project file!

I can share file, but it has to be kept confidential.

Thanks! Nigel

Well, that didn't work very well; my project invite string was posted for everyone to see on the fusion360 community site!

So I've rescinded the invite and that will longer work.

My next question: How should we share files with Autodesk staff confidentially?

Thanks!

My next next question: if my project URL is now public, how does that affect the security of my project? And can I change its URL?

Thanks!

If you click on options in daniel's post there should be an option "Not The Solution" just click that. Also on the 2 posts with your link if you click Report bottom left of post, you can ask admin to remove them.
