Does anyone know how to scale the environment pictures?

I am trying to change the Plaza image to fit my design, but it is way to big.

Any suggestions?

I am not sure that can be done. the "Environment images" you see are (spherical ?)  HDR images and are meant mosly for illumination.

If you need a differnt image visible in the background, you van either try to find an equivalent HDR on the internet, ot anothe possibly better techniuque is to use a "noemal" image as a backplate. I am not sure th altter works in Fusion 360 as I;ve not tried it out in F260. However, this is how it works in many other render engnies.

@3Dpcb

The back plate method is the only option you have right now. What I was told is there is no way to scale the hdri image.

One option you do have is you can change the focal length of the camera, but that may or may not give you the results your after.

Hi<

This is a method I came up with to create my own environment ...

Create a curvature wall and a ground, then use decal on both of them, and that's awesome because now you can edit the ground or the wall separately

Here are some pictures for a sword I created showing the method and the results

kind regards, Saeed

That method is called a back plate 😉

The sword in the gound should have the same sharp shadows as the trees in the back plate. The trick is to find an hdr with close enough sun azimuth and then rotate it so the shadows match.

Hi,

I see, so that's what phil was talking about in his comment, I didn't think it was an actual method lol

Thanks for the tip

Thank you all...

It seems that there is no other way than a workaround.

I think that it is very strange that Fusion don't have the option to scale the image, when you can have a nice shadow on the ground and even the option to offset and rotate the image.

I have made this post on the IdeaStation:
