I installed the software and it worked perfectly for a few days. Today morning i had created an adhock network on my laptop and had my phone connect with it. After I was done i disabled it. Since then the software is not working, its saying: "The application has encountered an unexpected authentication error and must be quit. I have tried all the solutions and proxy tweaks given in other forums, but none have worked. Pls help!

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Sorry for the late reply! Have you tried clearing your Web Services folder? This may contain cached data from the other network that is not allowing you to sign in. To find your Web Services folder please browse to the following:

Windows

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk

Mac

/users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/

Once found, rename the Web Services folder (this way we aren't deleting it in case we need to put this one back), and then relaunch Fusion 360. It should prompt you to log in again.

Let me know if this works, thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry about that! I should've clarified more. It doesn't matter what you rename it, you could even move that folder onto your desktop. Fusion will automatically generate a new one (and will then prompt you to log in again) once it is not named Web Services or not located in that file location anymore.

Thanks,

I tried it, it didn't work. I deleted and tried too. I think I'll just reinstall.
Thanks a lot for your help

Hi @Anonymous,

No problem! Not sure if you have seen this link here, but you may need to add environment variables to your computer to allow the proxy to go through. Hope that helps and let me know if the reinstall doesn't work!

Thanks,
