IS THIS TRUE?????: Fusion 360 is cloud based for the most part, if you don't pay the subscription fee they'll DATA MINE your files. Fusion 360 is great, but pricey, unless you can get hold of a student license through whatever means - but that doesn't give you commercial rights to use it. If your file or picture is of a commercial venture, you are violating their T&C's, and Fusion 360 has FULL Rights to your files.

Hey @Anonymous - not sure exactly what you mean by data mine in this scenario, but we do not dig into your data for any reason unless you've given us the authority to do so.  I think the most important part to clarify is that we do offer an enthusiast / start-up license that is free if your business is generating less than $100k per year... any chance you qualify for this?  For more info take a look at the terms here:  http://www.autodesk.com/company/legal-notices-trademarks/terms-of-service-autodesk360-web-services/autodesk-web-services-entitlements

@Anonymous is saying that if a user has a free license, then Fusion 360 basically can publish and patent your product idea as their own. Is this true @brianrepp ?

@Anonymous this is not correct.  If you don’t mind sharing, where did you hear this?

Unless you publish/share your data to a public place, the data is yours and we cannot access it. There are other software providers that might take an approach to making your documents public if you’re using a free version, maybe there is some confusion?

@Anonymous : Perhaps actually reading the terms and conditions of your subscription would help.
