Broken (numerical and text) input fields

Good evening or day,

I've had a break from Fusion (using Inventor 2017), and just came back, the first thing I noticed was that the input fields have been broken servery by someone.

If you have a user parameter (Changer Parameters under the Modify tab), and start typing in the letters, you will get a pull-down that filters the variables as you type.

Previously, you could highlight the wanted user parameter hit the return key (that is the key above your right shift), and the add something like " * 2" behind the parameter and click tab for the next field. Now only the enter key (that is the lower right key on the keypad) works. Hitting enter return, will put you in some wired state where input is routed somewhere else, I can't figure out where.

What is worse, if I want to rename a body, it does something similar, you'll see the cursor inside the input field, while something else is actively taking the keyboard input. I keep deleting parts, as I normally hit Shift+Home then Delete/Backspace, you'll delete whatever you intended to rename.

There also seam to be a problem with the delay before preview operation, as I could previously change hole parameters seamlessly without having problems. Now input seams to disappear as I'm changing the parameters on holes going though 6-7 parts, meaning typing 22.5 mm now requires me to type "2", wait for the update, type another "2", again wait then type ".5" and click "OK". This easily takes 10-12 seconds longer than what it used to.

The previously consistent keyboard interface was what made me change to Autodesk Fusion, are these issues being looked into?

I've been going crazy with the same issue. I'm not sure when it started, either, because I also took a few months off of Fusion. I've searched the blogs, you tube change logs, googled. etc.

It seems that in most cases when doing input to dimension sketch geometry, keyboard input is often hindered until you CLICK into the text input box. This means I start a new rectangle with "r" and start typing a value, for me this is generally a formula containing parameters. But after typing the name of the variable (with or without the assistance of the drop down suggestions) I am then generally stopped, as I said, until I click in the input box. The even stranger thing is that shortcut keys seem to be active. So I think I'm typing a variable that has the letter "p" in it and Projection pops up. Or other random actions because I thought I was typing a variable name but it took it as a command.

This also often hinders me from tabbing between dimension inputs, such as creating a new rectangle because in this odd mode tab isn't recognized as "switch between inputs" it just does nothing.

I hope someone can explain how the new keyboard input works (it's not intuitive) or mention that it is a bug.

If anyone finds this thread, this was fixed (as far as I can tell) by the 2017 January 19'th release:
